Jason has been training with Russian Kettlebells since 2004

The kettlebell is a tool that gets every individual to their ideal size, shape and weight.

According to Voropayev (1997) who studied top Russian kettlebell competitors, 21.2% increased their bodyweight by training with the kettlebell and 21.2% (the exact same percentage!) lost their bodyweight!  All this was according to their ideal body composition

The kettlebell is a very versatile tool which can be used in many different ways.

Dynamic 'ballistic' movements help kettlebellers

get stronger
last longer
have better than average circulation
develop body co-ordination
Improve their balance

More controlled 'grind' movements

Target specific muscles or chains of muscles
Strengthen the midsection and abdominal definition
Develop stronger legs
Get a better bottom shape and hip strength
Get superb looking shoulders and rejuvenate your posture 

Overall the kettlebell is a fantastic fitness tool but not for fitness beginners. 

A word of caution

Make sure you can move properly before picking up any weight, especially a dynamic one.  Everything changes when you pick up a weight.  If you start swinging it about, forces are multiplied by around 5 times the number is on the weight!

Make sure you get professional supervison, especially when beginning with kettlebells.
